I like all type. Shoujo, Shounen, Romance...I especially like ones with fantasy mixed in. Any type of magical creature or powers can make me give the manga another glance. I do prefer mangas with happy endings though...

Smut hands down. Romance/Josie would be a second I guess. The few mangas I do follow that aren't smut (aka AoY) are ones with a strong plot and development of characters. That way I can feel like I'm growing along with them lol

I've only read two mangas but I seem to gravitate towards Shonen

I think I am open to all kinds of manga, though I definitely seem to lean toward the fantasy/historical ones. If it has a nice mixture of comedy, action, and romance, that makes it even better!

It's hard to choose :" But probably my most favorite genre is romance

I've been gravitating more towards Josei/Seinen recently. Still read some Shoujo, but that genre doesn't really appeal to me as much as it used to. I'll rarely read Shounen titles (depends on the story).
As for genres based on content: Fantasy, Romance, and Supernatural are the main ones. I try to avoid tragedies as much as possible. (Life can be tragic enough. I just want the characters to earn their happy ending! ;__; )

I read just about any genre as long as it is done well. Am partial to beautifully drawn yaoi/shounen-ai

AnY is the only current shojo I read ... I find AnY epic in some ways.

Love romance, especially when it includes some gender bender!

Romantic comedies ideally, kinda going off the high school variety so love a bit of fantasy magic style instead

I am open to most genres (though it has to be a really good anime for me to get into a mecha). I have to say that I have a soft spot for magic girl animes since the first one I really got into was Card captor Sakura.

I'm open to most genres, except for tragedy, horror and psychological genres. I tend to avoid yaoi and yuri manga/anime too.
As some members here have mentioned, I also like to read manga/ watch anime for fun and entertainment. So my favourite genres are comedy (who doesn't want to have a hearty guffaw now and then?), romance, shoujo, shounen and josei.

Mostly I read Shoujo, Romance, Slice of life. Historical fiction, School life and comedy. I tend to love the Mangas which are slightly slow paced and where the mangaka really focuses on the development of the character from all spheres of life.

I'm pretty into Horror, but I like myself a good shoujo from time to time. I honestly will read anything though, I enjoy reading a bunch of different things, it keeps my mind open
