I tend to prefer the manga because there's alot of content that tends to get cut from the anime, though on occasion the reworking can make the anime a better product then the manga (I'm looking at YOU Princess Tutu)

Depends. I like to watch anime when it's got a lot of action like for sports or adventure anime.

I like both, and to an extent, I treat them as interchangeable (i.e. I won't read the manga chapters which anime episodes I've seen and vice versa). For action scenes I tend to prefer anime though as I often have problem following the movements in manga. For the majority of typical shoujo romance manga, I don't see any merit in them being adapted into anime TBH, though it'd be nice if done well.

I think for me it depends on the story line and how well the anime follows. There are some I prefer the manga but if they do a good job capturing the manga in the anime I love being able to see the manga come to life

Well.. that differs. Most of the time I prefer the Manga but Manga comes without OST. ;) And sometimes, I chose the Anime before the Manga (Hunter x Hunter !!) but thats rare.
I don't have a solution but I admire the problem

For me, it's heavily subjective on the particular series.

If we're talking about a very action-based series like Naruto or Bleach, the anime definitely helps you visualize what's going on in an otherwise hard-to-follow fight scene.

I don't read or watch very many action-y manga or anime, though. I prefer the comedy/slice-of-life/romance/4-koma genres. And in my experience, the manga for those types tend to be more enjoyable because of their humorous asides and comments outside of the speech bubbles. But because those comments hardly ever carry any meaning outside of that one panel, they're often neglected in the anime version.

However, those types of 12 episode comedy animes usually result in character singles and image albums, which is a HUGE selling point for me because I'm such a big fan of those types of songs.

So all-in-all, unless the anime can provide a few more layers of enjoyment that is absent in the manga (the animation style, the voice work, the accompanying music), I think I'd have to say I prefer manga over anime. But just barely. ^_^

I prefer manga more usually! there are a few cases in which I love both equally (like Gintama, though id probably like the anime a tad more) but also in some cases, anime more. It really just depends on whether or not the anime can send out messages as strong or better than the manga, and if they add or remove things. VAs are pretty important too I think

Manga as there is usually more in depth content but I do enjoy anime adaptations if they're done right.

I normally prefer manga, but then again, if I start reading one that isn't fully translated/gets dropped, it always kills me a little inside. Which is why sometimes I like just watching anime, since at least that gets an "ending" while the manga might go on much longer or might have been dropped or not even translated at all.

I prefer anime more tbh
since during certain scene you can just get the feeling immediately
which is better than reading ^^

I prefer anime but when it's a series that I really like then I usually read the manga as well. I never watch dubbed anime, tried it once and never again.
I prefer anime because it is more pleasing for the eyes and easier to follow. I also like that it's colorful.

I prefer manga, but it could be both manga and anime if the anime adaptations follow the manga storyline. I hate animes that have original plot, it ruins the mood.

Manga and Anime have both their own diversity, advantages and defects. But since really good original anime are uncommon and I watch mainly manga adaptation, I prefer the paper version which brings a most attractive atmosphere without being all colourful and noisy for promotion.
