I'm contemplating whether to read this manga.

I watched the Jdorama adapted from this series and it's decent enough however I got the feeling it's gonna be something like GTO.

What are the differences between the Manga and TV Drama.

I have only read but manga and have not seen the drama but I would say go ahead and read the manga so you can see what the differences between them are.

Sometimes, some details in the manga are deleted from the drama version.

The drama certainly not sufficient for a 21 vols manga. The drama was more like "study tips" with a twist.

That's why when I saw the total vols of the series is 21, I was kind of shocked.

Generally manga is better than adaptations because they provide a lot more detail so things seem less rushed, but the drama isn't too bad.
