Alright, when you are looking for a new series to read what is the first thing that you look for in one?

I'd say I first look for a series that is actually scanlated first... but let's not count that as an available option.

The next thing the I look at is summary of the series and if I like the premise of it.

So, how about you?

I usually look at the art first because I like having something nice to look at. Then I read the summary.

i like to read ones which have been finished already.... its a pain in the ass to check for new release all the time. :)

First I read the summaries, to see if the story sounds interesting. If it doesn't then I just don't read it xD

I look at both the summary and the cover, then I look to make sure it's been scanlated so I can read it. LOL I'll also look to see if it's a mangaka I like.

i read the summary first then consider the artwork. if both seem decent or if the plot sounds so amazing that the art doesnt matter, i'll read. i also consider the mangaka too. i read all smut lol. then if i actually get into the story, i'll keep reading, if i skip and the ending of the chapter is a cliff hanger, i'll keep reading. if nothing keeps my attention, i dont touch it ever again

I definitely look at the art first!! After that, I'll look at the summary of the story...but usually if it's shoujo, I'll read it (with decent art, at least). =)

If I find a new group, I check their one-shots first, then completed, then in progress. And then within those groups, I look for covers with art that catches my eye first, I guess, and then read summaries.

I very rarely read reviews, it's better to try a few sample pages on a site like mangafox before deciding to download.

I look at the summary , and if there is no summary available I read a chapter or two on an online reader to see the plot, and I if I like it I download it. I like good artwork too, but most of the time it is good anyway.

I look for the author (Mangaka), then art and then summary. I usually go for the author first, if its my favorite, it doesn't matter what it's about, I'll read it. If it's an mangaka I don't know, I look for the art and then read the summary.

definitely art first..but sometimes i go by refferences from my friends. But as long as the story is good and you enjoy reading them, even is the at is not very good, somehow by the time you will get used to the art and think it's actually pretty good :)

First thing I do is watching the cover. Even if the cover is not something I like, I will read the summary. The thing is, If I like the cover, I will read it for sure, even If there are no summary !

Hmmm.. I actually look at the art first. to see if i like it or not then i look at the summary. I really like those sports mangas so it'd be okay even if the art is not my favorite kind of art, because the drawings of sports mangas are so COOL! XD

The cover of the manga. If the cover so interesting then will start reading the summary to decide to read it or not.
